Choosing your summer campsite can be a daunting task - there are just too many fantastic sites to choose from! So, if you're wondering just where your hard-earned holiday should be spent, here are a few little reasons why we think Dolbryn is one of the best (ok, so we're a teeny bit biased....) :)
Tent, Caravan, Pitch or Pod - the choice is yours - we accommodate all camping and caravaning units - from a simple tent pitch without electric to an all-singing motorhome with all mod-cons. We've even got some beautiful wooden camping pods or our fantastic family Ready Tent for anyone who fancies a camping trip without bringing the tent along!
So much to do - Dolbryn is situated in the heart of the stunning Teifi Valley in beautiful West Wales. This means we are really central to loads of family-friendly activities and days out. We are withing driving distance of some of the finest beaches in Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire, not to mention fantastic attractions like Folly Farm, Blue Lagoon and Oakwood. The kids will love it here - ok, so the mobile signal isn't great and the wi-fi can be patchy at times (that's the trade-off for those gorgeous views) but the children absolutely won't be bored here at Dolbryn. We've got a large play park, as well as over 5 acres of wilderness and woodland for them to explore - they can splash in the stream, make dens and play hide-and-seek to their hearts content. They can help us feed the site animals every morning too. We also run craft clubs during the school holidays as well as other activities and family entertainments. And of course, children are welcome in the Barn Bar later in the evening.
We are doggy friendly - there's no need to leave pooch at home with grandma; we love to see dogs here at Dolbryn. We've got plenty of space where they can be let off the lead, and even a doggy-day-kennel where you can safely leave them if you want to go out for the day to somewhere dogs aren't quite so welcome. And best of all, there's no additional charge for dogs. Woof
Free Fishing - if you're a fan of fishing then you'll love it here at Dolbryn. We've got a dedicated fishing lake which is well stocked with rudd, roach, tench and gudgeon. There's no charge for fishing (if you haven't got rods you can hire them for just £2.50 for half a day) but you will need a rod licence (available from the post office).
Great Facilities - we pride ourselves on offering some of the best facilities campers could need here at Dolbryn. From free hot showers (cleaned twice a day to keep them sparkling), a laundry and fridge-freezer to the characterful Barn Bar, we like to think we've got everything you need here. We also offer some extra touches like fire-pit hire and freshly baked croissants in the morning. Happy Holidays!
The Personal Touch - Paul, Maggie, Sioned and Mat put a lot of themselves into Dolbryn, and we are really proud of the personal touch we offer all our guests. From showing you to your pitch to serving you a drink in the bar, we are on site at all times and on-hand if you need any help. Meeting happy campers is one part of the job that we all love.
Great Value - We're confident that we offer great value for money here at Dolbryn. At £24 per night for an electric pitch and £21 without (children are just £3 extra per night) a stay here definitely won't break the bank. We also offer many added "extras" that other sites charge for - we don't charge for dogs, putting up an awning (or gazebo or pup tent). Children's activities and fishing are always free too, and we don't have any slot machines, fruit machines or vending machines on site that can empty parents' pockets quicker than the Artful Dodger......
