gardens

There are some wonderful gardens in West Wales, and they're a magical day out for all the family. Here are our favourites....

One of Wales' finest gardens and a jewel in the crown of days out in West Wales. The gardens are set in over 10 acres, and include an Elizabethan cloister garden, mansion, shop and cafe.

These beautiful gardens are the extraordinary creation of dutchman Wil Akermans. Small but perfectly formed, they have been open to the public since 1989. The tearoom is also fantastic here, sit back and enjoy the view of the stunning gardens.

Opened since 2000, these gorgeous gardens were the first botanic gardens of the new century. There's plenty to see and do here, including a visit to the Bee Garden, Japanese Garden and Lord Foster's Great Glasshouse.

The stunning Picton Castle is surrounded by 40 acres of gorgeous gardens, packed with rare collections of plants from around the world. And you'll be sure to spot some of the fabulous wildlife here too.
