UPDATE 1st July 2020

We have been advised by the Local Authority that we can prepare to open on the 13th July (subject to the review on the 9th of July, which will give us the final go-ahead).

We are cautiously optimistic that we’ll be able to welcome some guests back this summer.

We can accept bookings from touring caravans and motorhomes – but they must have their own facilities (bathroom and kitchen) on board and you must be happy to use your own facilities. At this time we cannot accept tent bookings and our pods and ready tent will remain closed. This is because we are not permitted to open any shared facilities.

In our case that includes the toilets, showers, laundry room, pots and pans, teen room, shop, bar and play park. We will also not be able to offer the usual holiday activities like sticky club and the bar entertainment; animal feeding may be available in a socially-distanced capacity, but the children probably won’t be able to get too close to the animals (or each other!).

We’ll be operating the site at roughly half capacity so that the fields are not congested.

This information and these rules are changing all the time, so it may well be that by mid-summer that gradually we can start to open some shared facilities. However, it may be that Dolbryn won't quite be the same as you expect, or are used to for the next few months. We are saddened by this, and it’s far from ideal, but it’s important for us to keep within the rules set so we can help to keep all of our guests, and ourselves, safe and open up in some form, in a safe way. Despite all this, the same warm Dolbryn welcome will be waiting for you.

For bookings or queries, please get in touch via e-mail (enquiries@dolbryn.co.uk) or telephone (01239 710683/whatsapp number 07900265661) We hope to be able to open up our online booking options in the next week or so.

UPDATE 23rd March 2020

Following government advice and adhering to local regulations on the closure of all caravan parks, campsites and holiday accomodation, we have now closed our campsite to ALL guests, including seasonal and storage customers.

If you have any queries, please get in touch via e-mail (enquiries@dolbryn.co.uk) or telephone (01239 710683/whatsapp number 07900265661)

We are obviously saddened to be in this situation, but we hope that you all stay safe and we can't wait to see you all again in the very near future. Thank you

UPDATE 21st March 2020

It is with a heavy heart that we have now taken the decision to close down most of the site - all the communal facilities (including the showers and toilets) are now closed, effectively closing the site to anyone other than our seasonal guests who are able to use their on-board facilities. Although we urge all seasonal guests to heed government advice with regards to travelling.

If your are booked to stay with us during April or May then we have sent you an e-mail regarding your booking (if you have not received it, please get in touch).

We have now also closed our booking calendar until the end of May 2020, and we have also closed our online booking facility for the rest of the year. If you'd like to book a pitch for the summer or later in the year then please get in touch via e-mail (enquiries@dolbryn.co.uk) or telephone (01239 710683/whatsapp number 07900265661)

We are distraught at having to make this decision, but we hope to see you all again in the very near future. Thank you

UPDATE 19th March 2020

Although the campsite remains open to guests, we have made the decision to close the bar, teen room/games room and the play park and unfortunately, guests will not be able to join us for animal feeding - for the protection of all our guests and ourselves. The site showers and toilets remain open but please use the wipes provided for any surfaces before you use them and take the usual precautions to wash your hands thoroughly after leaving the shower/toilet block.

Thank you

18th March 2020

We completely understand that because of the rapidly changing situation (and the government and social responses to it), many of our guests will be worried about their booking for this spring and summer, and what will happen in the event of illness, travel restrictions, and at worse - a government enforced lockdown for the entire country.

We'd like to re-assure ALL our guests that your holidays are safe with us! At present, Dolbryn remains OPEN for campers and caravanners. We may make the decision to close the bar and shop sections at certain periods, but we will inform customers of this if necessary. We believe that fresh air and open spaces pose the least risk to our guests and our family, and we also think that a break in the countryside could be enormously beneficial for physical and mental health.

If you have booked to stay with us in the next few weeks and are worried about your booking please get in touch. In the event that you (or family member) are ill, or you feel you don't want to travel given the current advice, then we will gladly move your booking to a date later in the year, or offer a credit note for you to use next year, without any administration charges.

If we are forced to close the site because we are ill or because of a government enforced lockdown/closure, then in the first instance we ask guests to check their travel insurance policies. If no cover is available then we will again gladly move bookings to later in the year, or offer a refund if you can't swap dates.

As we stay open, we have also put into place the provisions as outlined below.

Thanks for supporting our small business in these uncertain times. We wish that all our guests and customers stay safe and healthy ❤️

*Guidelines and advice are changing almost daily, so if any of our policies change or we are forced to closed because of illness or otherwise, then we will keep you updated.

UPDATED AUGUST 2021

Wales has now officially moved into Coronavirus Alert Level 0.

This mean that all legal limits on social contact will be removed and there is no legal requirement to socially distance.

We advise all our guests to continue wearing facemasks in the indoor areas at Dolbryn, and being vigilant about possible Covid symptoms. Please do not travel to us if you have, or think you may have, Covid.

We will continue with our usual stringent cleaning routine and hand sanitiser and anti-bac spray will be available throughout the facilities for your use.

The Barn Bar will remain closed inside, but the beer garden will be open Wednesday - Sunday evenings for outdoor service (weather dependent). The shop is open from 08:30 - 10:30am and again 2pm - 7pm.

We still need contact details of all adults over 16 on site for the Test & Trace system, so if you're visiting as part of a group please drop you details at reception or scan in using the NHS app. All day visitors must continue to check-in at reception and leave their details.

Although the restrictions in terms of social distancing and group gatherings have been removed, we ask that you show awareness and understanding towards our guests and staff who may still feel apprehensive, and give everyone space if requested. Thank you

If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks and stay safe all
