Dating back to the 13th century, our local castle is the only native Welsh castle in this area to be built of stone. It was used more as a county seat than a military base, and although now mainly ruined you can still appreciate the fine views and the historic atmosphere. There's also the dragon's history trail to explore.

Cilgerran Castle, Cardigan. SA43 2SF

Cared for by the National Trust, this stunning castle was built in the mid 13th century. Today you can enjoy stunning views across the Teifi Valley as well as lovely walks down to the river.
