Dolbryn's Story

Dolbryn Caravan and Campsite is a haven of peace and tranquility, set in the heart of the West Wales countryside.

Our campsite is spread over three fields, and we welcome tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans. Choose from the electric pitches on the gentle sloping meadow of the Lakes field, which overlooks our fishing lake, or the lovely grassy pitches of the Pines field which is close to the play area. Non-electric pitches are available in Mountain View, which has far-reaching views and beautiful sunsets over the Preseli Hills.

We have plenty of wild spaces too, which attract an abundance of nature and wildlife. Our regular visitors include a huge variety of birds, including buzzards and the rare Red Kite and small mammals such as hedgehogs as well as carpets of gorgeous wildflowers in the Spring and Summer.

The children won't be bored here at Dolbryn either. We believe in free-range children who are allowed to roam free in our wild spaces. They can make dens, splash in the stream, explore the woodland and play hide and seek. They can visit and feed our site animals and we run lots of family events throughout the year.

Dolbryn's history goes back hundreds of years. The old barn buildings that now house the bar, toilets and showers were the original farm buildings. The "new" house was built in 1906 and owned by a local magistrate. It was modelled on the old farmhouse but on a larger scale, and turned slightly, to make the most of the views across the meadows (Dolbryn literally translates into English as "meadow of the hill" ). It was converted into a campsite in the mid 1970s, and since then the site has grown and evolved into the wonderful family campsite that it is today.

We hope you enjoy it here as much as we do.
