Text Box: Is it too late to wish you all happy new year? If it is forgive us but we do wish you all a good & long holiday season this year. It has already started here at Dolbryn so, if you haven't already, get out your caravans, tents or trailers, give them a good airing and you might get into the holiday mood. There is nothing like the smell of canvas to remind you of the sweet aroma of warm grass wafting around whilst sitting in the sun, drink & book in hand and the burgers sizzle on the bar-b- que.
We have had our first eager visitors last week and although they didn't get the weather we've just described they did have a lovely weekend. Arriving to a sprinkling of snow, heaters were soon turned on and a cosy night in was followed by awakening to brilliant sunshine twinkling on a deep frost it really was a picture morning.
Does that make you feel good? Well lets hope you all get plenty of opportunity to 'get away' this year and maybe even see a few of you here.

Winter has been busy for us again. We have been digging ditches to improve the drainage on the camping fields, laying drains and creating a passing point on the drive & repainting the bar. The cold weather has held us up a bit as shifting frozen stone & earth is difficult even with a digger! But persistent as Dave is the work is almost finished other than a bit of tidying up and as spring takes hold and the grass starts growing all evidence of the butchery to the land should be covered up and beauty will again be restored to Dolbryn

Fun News Up-Date
Text Box:

All the animals here are well and looking forward to visitors returning.

The rabbits have been busy producing babies for your arrival.

All but one duck survived the winter. The look on their faces when the pond froze over was very funny.

The kitten we kept out of the october litter is now large & lovely but very lazy. You will be lucky to see him as he lounges in the house most of the time broken only by a very occasional stroll before food & sleep!

We have had  letters from DEFRA & BH&HPA advising on keeping chickens with regards to Avian flu. Although it is not a problem at the moment we are taking the initiative to remove them from the play area and place them in a more isolated environment with their feeding pots out of reach of wild birds. We are sure this won't bother the chickens too much but with health & safety of paramount importance we will be keeping any risks at bay.
