Access Statement for Dolbryn Touring and Camping Park
Introduction
We strive to
ensure that all visitors can enjoy the accommodation, facilities and
surroundings within the park. Our aim is to help in anyway that we can and if
you require any assistance during your stay or whilst planning your visit we
will be delighted to assist. Our current facilities and services offered are:
Pre-Arrival
•We
cater for tents, touring caravans.
•Our brochure is available in large print on request and we can post a copy of
this access statement if required.
•We
offer email, and staffs always accept Type Talk calls.
Arrival
& Car Parking Facilities
•Reception
area is accessible from the two main fields 50 metres from parking.
•Once registered at reception guests will be shown to their pitch.
•All facilities are clearly signposted with signs at each junction point.
Main
Entrance & Reception
•Access to
reception is from the main fields.
•There are two steps to the entrance.
•There
is ample room within for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn.
•Accessible parking bays are outside reception for use whilst in reception for
disabled customers only (caravans etc should not be driven to the reception
area).
Public
Areas - General (Internal)
•Hard
core roads service all parts of the park (excluding the ponds, vineyard and
surrounding fields).
•The
park is situated on two sloping fields.
•There are benches provided throughout the park.
Public
Areas - WC
•The park
has one toilet block; the toilet block is situated at the bottom of the park
near the reception and bar.
•With
in the toilet block, is a level entry shower, toilet and basin accompanied by
grab rails.
Bar
•Access
to the bar is by a ramped path of a 1 in 20 slope, 3 metres long.
•The
bar is on the level and has a selection of different table and chairs (some with
central column some without). Tables and chairs can be moved on request.
Laundry
•Level access throughout.
•There are two front loading washing machines.
•Hand wash sink is 85cm high.

Outdoor
Facilities
•There is a children’s play area which has a gate to entry 85cm wide.
•The surface of the play area is grass\ back chippings with safety mats
integrated under play equipment.
•Seating (benches) is provided around the area.
Touring Facilities
•We
have several pitches for tents and assistance can be offered. Please specify on
booking if you would like one of our few hard standing pitches. All other
pitches are level grass or slightly sloping.
•The toilet block has
a level entry unisex shower, toilet and wash facilities which are accessible.
•There are three basins in each block; one sink is lowered in he gents.
•The
majority of pitches are on grass; some touring caravans are on stone hardstands
with the awning area on grass.
•Parking
on the grass beside your caravan or tent is allowed.
•Assistance
in pitching on arrival is available.
•There
are numerous water points, and fire points on the park which are no further than
60 metres away from any pitch there is also a chemical toilet disposal point,
dustbin areas and recycling points.
•Pitches
are allocated on booking and staff are happy to advice on the location and
suitability for your requirements on enquiry.
Grounds
and Gardens
•The
park is large and spacious.
•The
grounds are sloped and in areas steep slopes. All the grounds are open for
walks and nature watching.
•The
paths around the grounds are either stone or grass.
•The
grounds consist of meadow field ideal for wild life etc.
•Appropriate footwear should be worn whilst in the grounds and care taken as the
paths and fields are uneven and at times slippery.
•Hedgerows
divide the park into small discrete areas.
